NEA Big Read Opening Celebrations with Professor Elizabeth Fogle In-Person
Join us at the H.O. Hirt Auditorium in the Blasco Memorial Library as we celebrate the opening of opening of the NEA Big Read. Elizabeth Fogle, Professor at Penn State Behrend, will discuss our NEA Big Read focus: American Sunrise by the United States Poet Laureate, Joy Harjo, and how it fits in with Harjo's poetic-works. Afterward there will be a short Q&A.
The National Endowment for the Arts Big Read is designed to broaden our understanding of our world, our communities, and ourselves through the joy of sharing a good book. The Erie County Public Library] is one of 70+ nonprofit organizations to receive a grant to host an NEA Big Read project.
