HistERIE Week: A BOOKFORGE program: The 17th-Century Cambridge Panel Binding In-Person

Join Edward Patrick Kranz, the Honey Badger Binder of Erie’s own BOOKFORGE, as he presents a bookish session chocked full of history leading up to the iconic binding structure and aesthetic as well as bookbinding vocabulary, tools, and techniques. During this two-hour program, Edward will present the book binding process historically used to create this historic full-leather flexible (raised cords) binding with ten process step models for the audience to examine. Expect bookbinding tools, vocabulary, and in-process demonstrations of how this book structure is made.
