Erie County Remembers the sacrifices of its military heroes at Erie County Veterans Memorial Park’s World War I Memorial
MaryJane Koenig and Ann Silverthorn will highlight some of those service members listed on the World War One Memorial who made the ultimate sacrifice. Join them to hear some compelling stories of heroism, the youngest, the oldest, the immigrants who returned to Europe to fight for their new country, those buried in France, the 313th Machine Gun Battalion, the 112th Infantry. Albion, Corry, Edinboro, Erie, Fairview, Girard, Harborcreek, Lake City, Lawrence Park, Millcreek, Mill Village, Union City, Waterford, Wattsburg, Wesleyville, all lost favorite sons.
Location: Meet at the World War One memorial across from Erie County Veterans Stadium on State Street, just north of 26th Street.
*In case of rain, meet inside the ticket gate at Erie Veterans Stadium on the southeast corner of 26th and State Streets.
