War and the Humanities: A Reading Group In-Person
This group meets twice a month to discuss books about war from humanities sources: fiction, poetry, memoir, and more. For June, we will be reading War is a Force That Gives Us Meaning by Chris Hedges. Mixing philosophy, memoir, and journalism together, Hedges explores the mythology and appeal of war, as well as the roles that nationalism, collective memory, and purpose play in pushing a group to conflict. After registering, stop in at the Edinboro Branch to pick up your copy.
