Blue Whale Project: Size Up!

Blue Whale Project: Size Up! In-Person

A blue whale is BIG, but how big is BIG? Find out by measuring yourself and using ratios to determine how large a blue whale really is.

This program is part of the Erie County Public Library's Blue Whale Project event. Through the generosity of the National Science Foundation, the following three educational programs, designed for 6 - 12-year-olds, will be offered at each library branch as our life-size whale tail "migrates through Erie County.

Can You Hear Me Now? Discover how blue whales and other ocean dwellers communicate.

Feeding Time! What’s it like to be a hungry, hungry blue whale? Find out as we explore the diet and feeding habits of blue whales.

Size Up! A blue whale is BIG, but how big is BIG? Find out by measuring yourself and using ratios to determine how large a blue whale really is.
