Bobbin Lace Demonstration In-Person
Stop in to learn about the art of bobbin lace. Bobbin lace is made by braiding and twisting threads to make the lace. It is called bobbin lace because the thread is held on bobbins. It is a very old lace, dating back at least to the 1500's. Local artist and historian Karen S. will be a demonstrating advanced bobbin lace. There will be several lace pillows available to try out a few twists. A wide variety of books and samples available to look at for inspiration. Ages 13 and up.
