War and the Humanities: A Reading Group In-Person
This group meets to discuss books about war from humanities sources: fiction, poetry, memoir, and more. For March, we will be reading Dispatches by Michael Herr. Herr's collection of writing mixes fiction with embedded journalism to create a dark, surreal account of the Vietnam War. The account Herr offers of the experience of war in Dispatches is so unique and visceral that this book was used as the source material for the movie Apocalypse Now. After registering, stop in at the Edinboro Branch to pick up your copy of the book.
Registration has closed. (This event has to be booked as part of a series)
