YA Road Trip -A Conversation with YA Author Tiffany Jackson In-Person
The ECPL Teen Reading Lounge is hosting a bus trip to Behrend College for A Conversation with YA Author Tiffany Jackson at Reed Hall. Join the group and ride from the Blasco library to the Behrend College where we will listen to a presentation with YA author Tiffany Jackson. Each participant will receive a free book.
Tiffany D. Jackson is an eminent author in the field of YA (young adult literature). She writes about real-life issues facing young people today in an accessible, gripping format that reaches emerging readers and raises social consciousness. Jackson is the New York Times-bestselling and award-winning author of YA novels including Monday’s Not Coming, Allegedly, and The Weight of Blood. A Coretta Scott King — John Steptoe New Talent Award winner and an NAACP Image Award nominee, she received her Bachelor of Arts degree in film from Howard University, and has over a decade of experience in the television industry, working for various networks and media companies including National Geographic, Roc Nation, BET, FUSE, and BBC AMERICA.
Participants will be required to have a completed permission slip in order to attend. The attached permision slip may be printed, completed and brought to the event; or email the completed form to teenspace@eriecountypa.gov at least one day prior to the program. Permission slips can also be requested from the Teen Services Librarian in the Blasco Teen Space. Teens will not be able to ride the bus without a permission slip.
