Maker in Residence: Modern Songwriting and Recording Workshop In-Person

Join local musician, Eric Hopper, for an introductory group workshop into modern songwriting, audio recording and production concepts.  Explore song writing planning and general principles of recording using a DAW (Digital Audio Workstation) to bring ideas to life. Learn about concepts of multitrack recording and using virtual instruments. Work as a group to write and record an original song! No experience or musical ability necessary. This is a beginner class for anyone interested in writing lyrics or music recording.

This is a two session program, please only sign up if you can attend both sessions. Ages 16 to Adult. Registration Required.

Meet the Maker:  Eric Michael Hopper is a professional songwriter and music producer. He has written and produced songs receiving airplay on some of the nation's largest radio stations, as well as jingles featured in advertisements for some of the most well known brands. Eric is passionate about how technology and the new media landscape is enabling a whole new generation of DIY content creators in the world of music, media and entertainment.
