Indian Classical Dance Kathak Workshop In-Person
Anjali Sahay with teach a workshop on Kathak, which is a classical dance form from Northern India. Kathak blends the ancient and modern, offering dancers unlimited creativity. The dance combines drama and rhythmic technique and can be set to a variety of music. Dr. Sahay is an author, educator, leader, and performing artist who is a professor at Gannon University. She learned Kathak in her native India and is passionate about sharing her tradition. In this workshop, she will give an overview and demonstration of Kathak, and lead participants in a few simple steps.
