Blasco Bookworms - The House With a Clock in Its Walls In-Person
A free, interactive book club for ages 9-12 brought to you by Blasco Library! Club members will read and explore The House With a Clock in Its Walls by John Bellairs. We'll meet at Blasco on two Monday evenings to discuss the story, enjoy themed snacks, create a mysterious trinket box, see some close-up magic, and more.

Parents, please be aware that our summer book choice is a spooky children’s classic originally published in 1973. The plot includes witchcraft, necromancy, and some threats of bullying and violence. Readers may encounter language, name calling, and social norms (including smoking) we are not used to in 2024. Please review the book ahead of time to ensure it is a good fit for your reader! We will discuss the role of classic literature and compare the content of the book to modern media and sensibilities.
