                Hatpin Panic! In-Person
In honor of Women's History Month:
Learn about the history of the hatpin and make your own! In the late 1800s, as women could move more freely without male chaperones, hatpins were used for self-defense (as well as keeping large ornate hats on women's heads). Learn about "mashers" and the social changes (and laws) during that time. We will be in the Community Classroom, where you can then style your own pin to use as a hatpin or brooch!
