Maker in Residence - Lucet Braiding

Maker in Residence - Lucet Braiding In-Person

Learn the ancient craft of lucet braiding and create a strong, decorative cord perfect for edging or embellishing a handmade trivet! In this beginner-friendly class, you’ll discover how to use a lucet tool to weave a durable, square braid—a technique used since the Viking era. No prior experience is needed, just a willingness to try something new. By the end of the class, you’ll have a beautifully crafted cord to incorporate into your trivet project or other fiber arts creations!

Free. Registration Required. Ages 11 to adult. If you think that you will need extra assistance to complete this project, please bring a support person with you to class.
