Family Services Craft Night: Printmaking

Family Services Craft Night: Printmaking In-Person

Join the Idea Lab and Foster Care at Family Services in the Blasco Library Children's Storytime Room to try your hand at printmaking! Printmaking is an art process where you make and imprint onto a surface using ink. We'll teach you how to make a simple relief print by etching your design onto a piece of foam. Next, we'll show you how to apply ink to your foam design and stamp it onto a piece of paper. Your custom-made art print is yours to keep! Please keep in mind that ink can stain, so make sure to wear clothes you can get dirty.

We'll also have some fun extras available to take home, courtesy of Foster Care at Family Services in honor of National Foster Care Month:

  • Light snacks
  • Coupons for subs at Teresa’s Deli
  • Take-and-make bracelet kits
  • Information about foster care for anyone who wants it
