Beginner Crochet - Session 3 In-Person
Join local maker Karen S to learn the basics of crochet in this 3-session beginner class. Participants will learn a new crochet skill each class, then use that skill to make a beginner project. Each session will build on the skills learned in the previous class, so please register only if you can attend all 3 sessions. Session 1 - Wednesday August 6th at 6pm: Cup cosy for use on coffee cups. Using a chain stitch and single crochet, you'll be able to make a cup cozy to use instead of the cardboard ones from your favorite coffee shop!
Session 2 - Wednesday August 13th at 6pm: Granny square bag. In this class, you'll use a chain stitch, single and double crochet to make granny squares and turn them into a nice drawstring bag.
Session 3 - Wednesday August 20th at 6pm: Crochet hat. In this class, you'll use a chain stitch, double and triple crochet to make a nice winter hat. These would make great gifts for anyone!
Free. Registration required. Ages 13 to adult.
