Cardboard Regatta: Build a Cardboard Boat

Cardboard Regatta: Build a Cardboard Boat In-Person

Join Jacob Chemsak from the Bayfront Maritime Center and get started building your own working cardboard boat! Learn about some boat design options plus construction techniques for cutting, adhering, and sealing the cardboard. When you're done, consider entering your creation in this year's cardboard regatta on September 13th! Jacob will talk about what the cardboard regatta is and what guidelines you must follow if you want to enter your boat in the race.

Registration is not required for this class. Cardboard will be available while supplies last, but participants are encouraged to save, gather, and bring additional cardboard for their creation.

This program will take place in the Blasco Library's Idea Lab. Free and open to the public. Ages 12 and up. All children must be supervised by an adult. If you think you might need help to complete this project, please bring a support person with you to this class.
