Color Theory for Beginners In-Person
Unlock the power of color! This beginner-friendly class is your introduction to the world of color theory.
Are you a crafter or maker? Make your designs pop! You'll learn how colors work together, how they affect mood and perception, and how to use them effectively in your own creative projects.
- What color theory is and why it matters
- The color wheel and primary, secondary, and tertiary colors
- Warm vs. cool colors and their emotional impact
- How to create color harmony using complementary, analogous, and triadic schemes
- The basics of hue, saturation, and value
- Tips for combining colors with confidence and creativity
No matter what you're designing, this class will give you the tools to understand and apply color with clarity and purpose.
Registration is required for this free event. Ages 15 to adult. This class will take place in the Idea Lab's Community Classroom. If you think that you will need extra assistance to complete this class, please bring a support person with you.
