Folklore of Lake Erie Series: Myth-sterious Matters -- Folklore in Modern Times

Folklore of Lake Erie Series: Myth-sterious Matters -- Folklore in Modern Times In-Person

Folklore is like the air we breathe, everywhere, essential, and often unrecognized.

Join Kelly Armor, Folklorist in Residence at Erie Arts & Culture, for a romp through urban legends, family stories, fairy tales, and other juicy folklore gems hidden in plain sight. We'll discuss why it matters, what it reflects about us, and how it can be a source of joy and a tool for change.

Can't make the program? Check out Lore of the Land

Kelly Armor is a musician, storyteller, ethnomusicologist and educator. For the past 22 years she has also been a public folklorist, documenting traditional artists and culture bearers across northwestern Pennsylvania, and helping people retain and share their traditions. She has done workshops and presentations on folklore and culture at schools, libraries, colleges, and festivals for young and old.

And be sure to attend our other folklore programs happening for all ages all week! Visit the events page to find out more. All during the last week of October.
