Papel Picado In-Person
Celebrate Día de Muertos with us by creating your own papel picado! Papel picado (which means "punched paper" or "perforated paper" in English) is a traditional Mexican craft made from cut tissue paper and is used to decorate for Day of the Dead and other holidays and celebrations. For this program, you'll cut, decorate, and string together sheets of paper into a custom banner. Then, Idea Lab staff will help you make a personalized centerpiece for your banner using the Cricut.
Free. All ages welcome. All children must be accompanied by an adult. No registration necessary - just drop into the Idea Lab any time from 10am to 1pm to participate! If you think you might need extra help to complete this project, please bring a support person with you to this class.
