Seniors Eating Well: Evaluating Dietary Supplements In-Person
This series of short lessons is designed with the interests and needs of older adults in mind. Developed in collaboration with seniors themselves, these classes are engaging, tasty, and fun. Whether you're looking to explore new topics, revisit familiar ones in a fresh way, or simply enjoy a fun and social learning experience, this series has something for you! Pick and chose the classes you want or come to the whole series.
Seniors can be at risk for spending their limited income on unregulated and often medically unsubstantiated dietary supplements. Many have questions on whether they need nutritional supplements and how to select them for safety and efficacy. After attending this program, you will have knowledge of the safety, credibility, efficacy, labeling, regulations, and pros and cons of dietary supplements.
