Stories That Shape Us

Stories That Shape Us In-Person

Stories That Shape Us is all about exploring the wild, weird, and wonderful world of folklore. Each week, we’ll jump into legends, ancient tales, family traditions, and myths. You’ll get to read, talk, create, and collaborate with other teens while discovering what makes stories so powerful.

And the coolest part? By the end, you and your group will build a public art / creative writing showcase that celebrates storytelling in all its awesome forms. Expect chill discussions, fun activities, and snacks!

Let’s make some stories worth telling.

Stories That Shape Us will take place on Monday nights from 6 to 8 p.m., starting January 26 through April 6. Each participant will receive a research kit including a journal, sketch book, art supplies, bookmark, poem magnets and more!

We encourage participants to attend all ten sessions to build a sense of community and make sure you don't miss out on any of the fun!

Free. Ages 13-17 in grades 8-12. Registration is required and space is limited.
