Valentine Heart In-Person
Join Karen S. to discover a fresh twist on traditional Dorset buttons in our Valentine Button Class! Dorset buttons are a style of a handcrafted button that originated in the English county of Dorset. Together, we’ll create a charming heart-shaped button using a bracelet as the base. Karen will guide you through the process of making your own Dorset button using yarn. Dorset buttons make great pins, necklaces, or decorations.
Free. Registration is required. Ages 13 to adult. If you think you will need additional help with this project, please bring a support person with you to this class.
For this project, participants will need the following basic skills:
- Able to thread a yarn needle
- Able to weave a needle in and out between threads
- Able to wind yarn on a disc
- Able to use scissors
- Able to use a hot glue gun
