HistErie: Paper Piecing In-Person
Join fiber artist Karen Smock to learn a classic quilting technique called English Paper Piecing! This old-fashioned hand-sewing method involves wrapping fabric around paper templates to help keep the shapes neat, then sewing the pieces together by hand.
Free. Registration required. Ages 13 and up. The class will be held in the Idea Lab's Community Classroom. Kids under 15 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. During the class, you'll be cutting fabric and sewing by hand with a needle. If you think you might need extra help with this project, please bring someone to support you.
