HistERIE: Home Again in OWB Biking Tour with Our West Bayfront and Preservation Erie In-Person
In partnership with Our West Bayfront and Preservation Erie, join Erin Phillips of "Old Erie on Foot" for a biking tour of historic and interesting homes of the West Bayfront.
Erin's blog, "Old Erie on Foot," explores the historic residential architecture of Erie, PA. Born from her love of taking walks in her historic West Bayfront neighborhood with her family the account has evolved into an in-depth house history research project, in which she uncovers the hidden stories of a home’s past. Join us for a live, slow-rolling guided tour of homes that made the blog and continue to make Erie history.
Participants should dress appropriately for weather and physical activity. All ages are welcome for this slow paced biking tour, children under 18 must be accompanied by a grown-up. Please ensure your bike is road-ready before joining the tour. Bike repair tools are available in the Idea Lab at Blasco Library.

About the Program Host: Erin is the managing editor and a contributing writer for the Erie Reader – Erie’s only local, independent alt-newspaper. She is a resident of Our West Bayfront and also the creator of the Instagram and blog of Old Erie on Foot, which explores the historic residential architecture of Erie, PA. Born from her love of taking walks in her historic West Bayfront neighborhood with her family, since its creation in 2018, the account has evolved into an in-depth house history research project, in which she uncovers the hidden stories of a home’s past.
She serves as secretary of Preservation Erie, www.preservationerie.org, a local non-profit dedicated to preserving the character of Erie’s built history.
