Make A Light Up Lighthouse In-Person
Light up the Night and make your own Lighthouse with the Idea Lab!
Celebrate National Lighthouse Day with the Idea Lab! This holiday recognizes the important role lighthouses play in keeping our coastline safe. To celebrate we will be making our very own light up lighthouse! You will take pieces cut using our glow forge laser cutter and assemble them into a 3d wooden lighthouse. Then you will be able to paint your lighthouse and add a light to the top, simulating an old school style lighthouse.
Interested in learning more about lighthouses? We will have a sample of books pulled from our collection about lighthouses, their history, and even fictional stories and movies featuring lighthouses prominently!
Free. Registration Required. Ages 13 to adult. The class will take place in the Community Classroom. Children under 15 must be supervised by a guardian. This class will use wood glue and hot glue, please me mindful. If you think that you will need extra assistance to complete this project, please bring a support person to help you with this class.
