Bike Safety & Maintenance: Kids In-Person
Come learn about bike safety and maintenance with the PA Department of Transportation in partnership with Bert's Bikes and the Highway Safety Network! All attendees will receive a free bicycle helmet to take home. This class is targeted at children ages 5-12. For teens and adults, please register for our afternoon bike class here.
- Learn safety basics such as helmet fitting and bicycle safety checks.
- Learn how to properly maintain and repair your bike.
- If weather permits, take your bike for a spin outside and learn about how to stay safe on the road.
If you have your own bike, please bring it with you! If not, you can still observe and learn from the class. If you bring a bike to class, please dismount and walk it into the building when you arrive.
Free. Registration required. The class will take place in the Blasco Library's Idea Lab. You can enter the class through the glass doors located just past the library's front desk on the right.
Ages 5 to 12. Children must be supervised by a guardian. Please register for all children attending - no need to register accompanying adults.
