3D Modeling with Blender

3D Modeling with Blender

3D Modeling with Blender

This 4-session class on Wednesdays, May 29, June 5, 12, and 19 is designed to get you started in the world of 3D computer generated art. We will be using the free, open-source software called Blender to build objects in 3D.

This class is aimed at beginners who are interested in breaking into the 3D animation industry as well as those just wanting to do this for fun. Given that the software is completely free, students can download it at home and continue their learning even after the class is over. No prior knowledge is required, just an excitement to learn and have fun.

The instructor is Karabo Legwaila, a professor of Computer Animation and Edinboro University. Professor Legwaila worked in the animation industry for ten years before becoming a professor at Edinboro University. He has been using 3D software for well over twenty years and has a lot of knowledge to share.

If you have ever wondered how the pros in the movies do this stuff, this class is a great way to find out. Who knows, you might be one of those pros one day!
