Rainbow Family Storytime In-Person
Families & Children Ages 4-12 | Storytime Room
Join us for a storytime series just for LGBTQ+ families and their allies! Our librarians will showcase LGBTQ-friendly books from our collection and lead the group in upbeat music, movement, and art activities. Light refreshments will be served.
Monday, 6/10: Celebrate Pride
Celebrate the origin of Pride Month and the LGBTQ+ rights movement. Featured picture books will include This Day in June by Gayle Pitman.
Tuesday, 6/18: Be Yourself
Wear what you want, like what you like, and love who you love! Stories this week will focus on being true to yourself. Featured picture books will include Prince & Knight by Daniel Haack
Thursday, 6/27: All Kinds of Families
This week we’ll honor diverse families, including ones with two moms or two dads! Featured picture books will include Heather Has Two Mommies by Lesléa Newman.
