Curious About: Frankenstein's Monster In-Person
Children Ages 8-12 | Storytime Room
Frankenstein is one of the most famous monsters of all time. He’s everywhere—on Halloween decorations, in episodes of Scooby-Doo, and even on cereal boxes. But did you know Frankenstein’s monster was originally created by a young writer named Mary Shelley? Learn about Mary’s life, the origins of Frankenstein, and how one woman’s story still captures imaginations 200 years after she first put pen to paper.
Participants will decorate some monstrous cereal treats, share their own spooky stories, and create wiggling Frankenbots that will make everyone shout, “IT’S ALIVE! ALIIIIIVE!”
