Word Warriors Book Club - Natalie Babbit's Tuck Everlasting In-Person
Ages 8 to 12.
Registration required. Participants must attend both sessions.
If you could, would you live forever? Would living forever actually be a good thing? Natalie Babbit’s classic tale asks these very questions. Tuck Everlasting follows 10 year old Winnie Foster as she discovers a spring in her family’s forest that supplies a small fountain of youth. Those that drink from the fountain never age, and the fountain, as long as it has spouted, has remained a secret. Will Winnie decide to stay young forever? Will she keep the secret of the spring to protect those that have drunk from it?
Tuck Everlasting is the Word Warriors Book Club’s latest selection, chosen through a vote by this club’s previous participants. Topics we hope to explore are eternal life, population, growing up, nature, loyalty, and family.
Participants will receive a free copy of Tuck Everlasting to read between meetings. Our meetings will consist of a guided book discussion, games, and activities. We are making our own sparkling water, playing games, and getting to know ourselves through book talks!
**Registration is required and space is limited. To register, please call (814)451-6936. Participants must attend both sessions to sign up.
