Spoon Carving: Session 1 In-Person
From a tree branch to a beautiful, functional spoon, learn the craft of spoon carving from local woodworker Ken Bownes. Each week, you will dive deep on part of the spoonmaking process and have time to carve with Ken's help. This class has 6 sessions, all on Monday nights, and registering for this first class registers you for all 6 sessions. Please only register if you can commit to attending all 6 sessions. This program is for adults only, ages 18+, and all materials and tools will be provided.
If interested, you are encouraged to buy your own tools to carve outside of class. You can also visit the Idea Lab during open hours to carve with the tools we have in the space. All tools have been generously donated by Flexcut Carving Tools, a local Erie company which specializes in carving and whittling equipment. Check them out on their website.
If the class is full but you are interested in the library hosting this program again, please register for the waitlist. We will use the waitlist to gauge interest in running this program again. If registration is closed entirely, please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org to let us know you're interested. Thank you!
