Read to a Therapy Dog In-Person
Children are invited to come and refine their reading skills with the most engaged audience imaginable: a therapy dog!
All children are welcome to come and read to a therapy dog! Join Willie Nelson or Skye and practice your reading skills. Therapy dogs are gentle, non-intimidating listeners who are always happy to hear a story (or 10!) from readers of all skill levels. Reading aloud to a dog has proven to be a useful means of encouragement for reluctant readers.
If that time doesn't work well for you, consider reading to a therapy dog at a different time at the Lincoln Community Center.
