How to Start a Small Business In-Person

Do you dream of being your own boss?

Learn what it takes to start a business using the business canvas. This useful tool will map out the basics, help you get ready to write your business plan, and get you on the road to success. Registration is required as spots are limited.

Can't make the program? Check out Starting a Business All-in-One

Rachel Stevenson is the business librarian at the Erie County Public Library and a former small business owner. She teaches a variety of classes on business for unrealized entrepreneurs.

Looking for more business help? Check out our business programming on the fourth or third Wednesday night of the month. As an important part of the NWPA Innovation Beehive Network, the Library will help you along your way to starting a business or helping with your existing business. Then we'll introduce you to another node in the Beehive Network to help you succeed even more.
